Solution advantages
High attention value
Users are provided with clearly visible, up-to-date information. The flexibility of the solution allows for different types of displays to be used, depending on the need. The PIDS solution are easily integrated to any modes of transport and any modes of display such as two-color / full color LED, Flexpaper, LCD, or TFT.
Perfect visibility
Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, the provided information is always available to the user. Energy efficient solar powered bus stop Flexpaper display systems deliver real time passenger information and timetable to passengers. The latest product development uses innovative E Ink technology displaying remotely controlled timetable information and maintains without power till new data is written to it.
Integrability
Seamless interface with the back-office systems of transport organizations ensures real-time information provision to the public transport users. The innovative technology uses a perfect blend of timetable timing and dynamic timings arrived from the vehicle tracer module to ensure that the information is available on the displays on a 24/7 basis and even during network blackouts.
Scalability and flexibility
Interconnectivity is key to create a smooth public mobility experience. All trips set to depart from the bus stops and terminals are shown on the respective display. The trip details displayed depend on the number of available bus services and trip departure times. For visually impaired passengers, travel information is obtained using an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS).
Case study
Province Noord-Holland
In 2015, Surtronic has installed ca. 380 Flexpaper units including Text to Speech for our customer Province of Noord-Holland. The solution is used to present real-time passenger information on a number of strategic points throughout the province. A great benefit proved to be the fact that no power connection is needed to link the Flexpaper units to the network. The units operate autonomously by using solar power supported by a battery.
